Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Marrakech, heading towards the stunning Dades Gorges. Along the way, you’ll pass through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking views and stopping to explore traditional Berber villages. Arrive at Dades Gorges in the evening, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by towering cliffs and the unique landscape of the valley.
On Day 2, the journey continues south towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. You’ll pass through the dramatic Todra Gorges, stopping for a walk before reaching the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. After arriving, take a camel trek into the desert, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars, immersing yourself in the serene beauty of the Sahara.
After watching a magical sunrise over the dunes, you’ll head back to Merzouga and continue westward to Ait Ben Haddou. Along the way, visit the famous kasbahs and the Ouarzazate area, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its role in film productions. Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou in the evening, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the ancient fortified village, known for its striking mudbrick architecture.
On the final day, depart from Ait Ben Haddou and make your way back to Marrakech, passing through the High Atlas Mountains once more. Along the journey, enjoy stunning vistas of valleys, Berber villages, and winding roads before arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon or evening, bringing an unforgettable desert adventure to a close.
